The second season of Vikings: Valhalla has begun. Unfortunately, it will not be available on Netflix this month.

Given the popularity of the original series on History, it wasn’t unexpected to learn that the spin-off would be renewed for a second season. However, we didn’t know how the episodes would be divided at first. We only knew that Vikings: Valhalla would contain 24 episodes, with the first season showing eight.

That did imply that Vikings: Valhalla season 2 would take place. A third season will also be released. There may be more after that, but for the time being, we’ll settle with the three seasons of the historical drama. The bad news is that we will have to wait another year to see the second season. The series will not be released in July.

When will Vikings: Valhalla season 2 be available on Netflix?

The series’ long delay is hardly surprising. Netflix has told us that the season will not be available till 2022. It will come in 2023, with a release date of February 2023 in mind. This would be one year after the first season was released.

Even though filming for the second season has already begun, that was finished prior to the first season’s release. It will be in post-production for the rest of the year. A show of this magnitude does require some time to complete post-production. It will never be easy to transform the twenty-first century into the Viking age.
