The dramatic revival of the ’90s comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Bel-Air, premieres on Sunday, February 13. The ten-episode series reimagines the original’s comic premise and widens the story to incorporate Will’s genuine danger and the threat from West Philadelphia to Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
Will is a basketball phenom in the series and can play collegiate hoops. But, much as in the OG’s theme song, he becomes embroiled in a battle on a local court, which alters his life forever. Instead of finishing the season with his squad, he’s been sent to his aunt and uncle’s house across the country to a hideout.
It’s a dramatic circumstance, but Bel-Air is skilled at combining Will’s hazardous predicament with his humorous attitude and desire to shine no matter where he lives. The series is a coming-of-age drama that combines themes about the Banks’ political ambitions and the towns in which they live.

Is Bel-Air on Netflix?
Bel-Air, however, is not a Netflix original. The show will be available on Peacock. The first three episodes will air on Sunday, February 13, and subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays until the series’ 10-episode initial season concludes.
To watch the complete series, you must have a Peacock membership. The premium plan is $4.99 per month. To stream without advertising on the platform, you’ll need a premium plus subscription, which costs $9.99 per month. The original series isn’t on Peacock; it’s now available on HBO Max.
