The protagonist of the mystery-thriller film “Missing” is a teenager who, after losing contact with her mother, searches for her using every available technology. The thriller, co-written and co-directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick, is a stand-alone sequel to Aneesh Chaganty’s 2018 film “Searching.” Missing stars Storm Reid as June, a young woman who must use the resources to find her mother after she vanishes while on vacation in Colombia with her boyfriend. This format is similar to the first film, in which the story develops using technology and a computer screen. June has no choice but to comply with the international regulations and red tape because she doesn’t have any option and must do the detective work independently.

Due to an agreement between Netflix and Sony, the Sony movie Missing will be made available on Netflix. Netflix already has other Sony movies like Where the Bullet Train, Crawdads Sing, and Morbius. The film will be available on Netflix after a few months. It will likely appear on the platform in May or June.

On January 19, 2023, It launched at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and had a theatrical release on January 20, 2023. The release of Missing coincides with a few notable films, including The Son, Alice, Darling and When You Finish Saving the World. But the streaming date of the movie on Netflix is about to be announced.
