According to Sera Gamble, the show’s creator, Jenna Ortega, was scheduled to reprise her role as Ellie Alves in the show’s fourth season. Sadly, the actor could not appear due to scheduling conflicts, but Gamble did not rule out Ortega’s return in the future. The 20-year-old Ortega has since played Ellie, the younger sister of Delilah, who Love Quinn kills in season two. She has gone back to star in last year’s Scream reboot and Netflix’s wildly popular Wednesday series, which prevented the actor from reuniting with the You cast while filming was going on.

Ghostface, a slasher horror legend, and Ortega have recently crossed paths because the actress played Tara Carpenter in the last two Scream movies. Speaking to fans about the upcoming Scream VI, Ortega said, “I think you’re going to be almost distracted. There’s so much going on , that it’s so action-heavy and so gore-heavy.” The actress made the remarks when asked about Sidney Prescott’s absence from the upcoming film, which is planned to hit theatres on March 10. The forthcoming movie, which will run for 2 hours and 3 minutes, will also have the longest running time in the series.

Ellie, played by Jenna Ortega, should come back to You at some point in the future because her popularity personally gives the show a considerable boost. Additionally, Ortega’s roles in You and Wednesday complement one another. If viewers of You and Wednesday both enjoyed Jenna Ortega’s performance, they might be persuaded to watch Wednesday. For Jenna Ortega’s Ellie to return at some point, You’s season 4 actors will need to keep the show going. Considering how much popularity the show has already attained would make it acceptable for the spectators.
