The actor was expected to return to You for season four, but because of her starring role in the Netflix series Wednesday, she was essentially prevented from joining the crew. Ortega was difficult to leave Romania, where the Addams family spin-off was filmed because the show was filmed during the pandemic
Recently, Sera Gamble, the creator of You, spoke about Ortega’s absence in season 4. Don’t worry; there’s still a chance Ortega will appear if Wednesday doesn’t conflict with the finale of You. But watching Ortega’s Wednesday team succeed makes everything better. She was nominated for Exceptional Performance by a Female Performer in a Comedy Series at the SAG Awards for her portrayal of Wednesday Addams. So everything turns out okay. As Joe Goldberg takes his final bow on You, we can only hope that Ortega will find time to appear. Ellie is the only person who can save him from chaos and murder. In the meantime, retain an eye out for Jenna Ortega in Scream 6, releasing in theatres on March 10.
